Each piece of timber used for this Roulotte has been treated
ecologically. The carvings and furniture have been made
out of different,
partly rare, kinds of wood.
The trailer represents more than 800 hours of work.
The stairs are made from oak and walnut. Cedar was used for the door and parts of the kitchen.
The other parts of the kitchen, as well as the bookshelf and the table, were made from yew.
The yew was taken from a 300-year-old tree, which unfortunately had to be cut a few years ago. Consider - the tree even was a contemporary of Louis XIV, the “"Roi Soleil"!
The cedar used for the Roulotte originates from a ca. 100 year old tree.
The galloping-horse-frieze placed over the entrance was carved in cherry, further carvings were executed in walnut.
In the interior back part of the Roulotte, a bed was constructed wich easily can be turned into a table. Wooden benches provide a cosy seat for up to six people.
Additionally, a work-desk, a cupboard – “hiding-place” for a refridgerator –, a cauldron "rouen"and a water-tap"tête de cygne" make this Roulotte a jewel!

The transport depends on the size of the roulotte:
- Small models can be transported with the help of a small trailer behind a car (see firts picture below). Be aware, that you need a special driver’s licence for that! Furthermore, a breakdown-lorry can be used, a tractor (for the “patient” ones!), or a horse (for the ecologically thinking ones!)
- Large modells have to be transported by lorry
If you wish to, we are happy to connect you to a French transportation company!
